Litigation

Although the modern commercial lawyer is involved in alternative dispute resolution such as adjudication, arbitration and mediation, litigation remains a fundamental aspect of every contentious lawyers practice. The analysis of fact and legal principle and expert evidence is a key requirement of practice. Our team work independently or together as required.

All opportunities to achieve settlement by way of negotiation or mediation are identified at the earliest point in the case. However, as the last resort, and litigation should be the last resort, it is critical that you instruct lawyers and experts with an understanding of the relevant issues within the specialist commercial context in which the problem has arisen.

Members of Webb King are specialists in commercial and construction cases and in litigation related areas ranging from professional negligence (solicitors, accountants, architects and surveyors) to contract and sub-contract disputes, to partnership and shareholder disputes and matters arising out of confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements.

We frequently represent construction industry clients ranging from employers to contractors and sub-contractors, to architect and insurers. It is common for our members to appear in specialist Arbitration and Adjudication as well as mediation and Courts, including the County Courts and the Technology and Construction Court (TCC).
