Martin Hall is an Incorporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a commercially aware Construction Professional with an extensive and well rounded experience of some 40 years in technical, senior management & consultancy situations within the Construction and Joinery / Woodworking Industries.
From an early family building company background, Martin trained as a Contractors Quantity Surveyor & Estimator with a highly respected National Contractor then a period working upon projects throughout the U.K. with a well known Estimating and Surveying consultancy practice followed by approximately 20 years as a Director of a medium sized 150 year old General Contractor.
Martin has been operating upon a Consultancy basis since 1995 and lectures upon Estimating & Tendering particularly for small and medium enterprises.
Martin holds a City & Guilds Silver Medal, was an award winner of the former Institute of Quantity Surveyors Prize for Q.S. & Estimating, is an Honorary Member of the National Federation of Builders and included upon the British Woodworking Federation's panel of technical experts in connection with dispute resolution.
Quantity Surveying.
- Preparation of Bills / Schedules of Quantities for Projects can be undertaken as an individual service if required.
- Budget Costs can normally be provided from the initial outline information. This enables Clients to make informed decisions at an early stage about the cost of using the proposed designs, methods of construction and types of materials. Alternatives may be suggested to enable cost savings to meet budget requirements.
- Management of Project Cost throughout construction to completion is provided to ensure projects are maintained within budget at all stages. This requires regular updating to evaluate the effects of any changes & variations to the project and avoid eleventh hour financial nightmares and disputes.
Estimating
- Regularly working with Builders and Contractors, Developers, Subcontractors, professional practices and private clients, detailed & quantified accurate cost analysis information is provided for all types of building & construction projects, large & small.
- Particular expertise is provided in the area of costing works for the Woodworking / Joinery Industry.
Project Management
- Project Management can be undertaken upon a full single source basis or a partial service working in unity with you own professional team
- Advice is provided upon appropriate methods of setting up the necessary formalities to ensure projects proceed in a regular & diligent manner for all parties involved. This ensures that the completed construction complies with the project drawings and documents, and is built to a high standard.
